PARTY (1987)

This group of photographs refers to the age-old popular custom of wearing a disguise, not only as a tradition during carnival festivals with Dionysian elements, but also as an ephemeral effort to escape the narrow boundaries of personal and social identity. Roles alternate, geographical distances and periods of time intersect in an irrational, and perhaps because of this, redemptive manner.
